It's kitten season!
That means that we have LOTS of cats and kittens available for adoption (check out all of the cute photos on Facebook). It also means that there are a lot of kitties that need to be spayed or neutered -- our costs increase considerably every summer to help out folks with brand new litters and unfixed kitties.
That's why we hold a garage sale every summer!
The funds we raise at the garage sale help us to support folks who need to get their animals fixed -- some of the thousands of people we help every year.
That's our main purpose -- to try to reduce the overall population in the county and surrounding areas. If we can get the animals fixed first, then our secondary mission of helping folks re-home pets becomes less crucial. And with no facility to house animals, and as we are all volunteers, anything we can do to help that underlying problem of reproduction is a good thing.
How can you help?
On Friday and Saturday, come to our garage sale at the Washington Fire Department, 2310 Adamsville Road. The hours are 9 am to 4 pm both days. Shop til you drop! We have a wide array of goods -- for people, for pets -- you name it. We are posting photos of some of the stuff available on our Facebook page, in between the photos of our adorable kitties available for adoption.
Remember, too, if that you can't make it to the garage sale, there are still a lot of ways to help.
Since you are already on our web page, check out the 'donation' tab and see all of the ways that you can support PAWS financially.
